REMEMBERING TED KAITCHUCK
by Myron Rosenblum, June 2018
My friend, violist Ted Kaitchuck, arrived in the 7ASO before I did, and over our time together, we became good friends. He was a fine viola player, even-tempered and just a nice guy. He was a big, burly guy who loved to wear sweaters in the brisk German climate. He came to New York City with one of his school classes once where we met and we did meet over the years, at 7ASO reunions or in Evanston, IL, where he lived. He had a bunch of ailments in his last years and had to give up playing, sadly. I will miss my friend.
